How does the protection work?

  • Packaging of electronic components. To protect chips, circuit boards and other sensitive components from electrostatic discharge during transport and storage.
  • Inner lining, e.g. in boxes or trays, to create a safe environment for sensitive components.
  • Separating films or interlayers to minimise friction and thus possible charge build-up.

Detailed description: BioStat® 400 DI

BioStat® 400 DI are dissipative ESD films designed for the safe handling of electrostatically sensitive components and products. They prevent the uncontrolled buildup of static electricity and dissipate electrical charges slowly and in a controlled manner. This reliably protects sensitive electronic components from damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD).
The antistatic or dissipative effect of BioStat® DI films is based on a natural ESD-active ingredient.
Also available with integrated BioCor® corrosion protection.
