VCI stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor. These inhibitors are released within sealed packaging, where they form an invisible protective layer on the metal surface. This layer prevents the metal from reacting with air and moisture, helping to protect it from corrosion. After unpacking, the VCI evaporates without leaving any residue. As a result, the protected item is ready for immediate use without the need for additional cleaning.
