How does the protection work?
BioCor® PowerCards work according to the VCI method. VCI stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor. These inhibitors are released within closed packaging and wrap themselves around like an invisible protective cover, that prevents the metal from reacting with air and moisture. After unpacking, the VCI evaporates without leaving any residue. This means that the packed item can be used directly without additional cleaning.

The BioCor® PowerCard is a compact, plastic corrosion protection card designed specifically for use in tight packaging spaces. Thanks to its thin profile, it can be integrated even into narrow and hard-to-reach spaces.
This ensures that the VCI active ingredients are optimally dispensed throughout the entire packaging space and reliably reach even critical areas. The result is rapid establishment of the corrosion-inhibiting atmosphere and effective, long-lasting protection of metal components against corrosion.
If necessary, the BioCor® PowerCard can be added to existing protective atmospheres to increase the VCI concentration.
